The fruit is nearly round to slightly pear-shaped. It has a smooth, finely dotted peel with a pale yellow colour, sometimes blushed with pink and aromatic outwardly. The paleyellow, nearly whitish, or pink, or even deep-red pulp is segmented with thin, membranous and bitter walls, which is very juicy and acid to sweet-acid in flavor when fully ripe.
